Alternative medicine:

Your natural home medicine chest.

With winter coming on, we all are starting to feel the effects of flu’s, colds and coughs. It is good to know there are many easy common sense measures we can put in place to ease these nuisances. In your garden you can often find many common garden plants that will do wounders for sore throats and dry coughs. Sage and thyme plants are wonderful on painful throats. Make a herbal tea out of a few sprigs plucked from your garden plants.

Approximately one teaspoon per small teapot of boiling water will do the trick remembering to let it steep for 10 minutes. Take neat or with a spoonful of honey. They honey helping the throat also.
